This year, we collected donations for the people of Tiszabő again, but this time, in addition to the usual personal gifts, we also took dismantled building materials and firewood. As we packed the shipment in the evening frost, several people were puzzled: why aren’t you donating money?
In the case of Tiszabő, donation is not primarily about money, but about caring and giving things that they can use with work in their daily life.
The Malteser International Charity Project in Tiszabő, led by Krisztina Tasi, works with this in mind, encouraging locals not to wait for money, but to work and take care of their homes and improve their living conditions.
